Before the Congress
- Please familiarize yourself with the program, session and speakers.
- Please prepare some backup questions.
Start of the Session
- Parallel Sessions will begin with a 60–90-second video clip, played by the technical team.
- If you have a Q&A-Discussion section in your session, please arrive at your session hall at least 10 minutes before the session start time to meet with an IT technician and receive an iPad and an explanation of how to run the Discussion sections of your session.
- Introduce yourself by name and affiliation.
- For those sessions with a Q&A-Discussion section, encourage the audience to ask questions via the microphones in the hall or mobile application:
- Explain to attendees that they should tap Program on the bottom toolbar of the Congress App.
- Find the session and click on it.
- Click Interactive to get to the Q&A, type the question, and submit.
- For sessions with Voting:
- Explain to attendees that they should tap Program on the bottom toolbar of the Congress App.
- Find the session and click on it.
- Click Interactive.
- Click Polls.
During the Session
- Introduce the speakers and presentation titles as indicated in the Congress mobile App (note there could be last-minute changes).
- Please follow the schedule closely and gently interrupt speakers if they exceed the allocated time for their lecture.
- For those with Q&A, besides taking questions from the floor, you can see questions sent via the mobile app on the iPad that you received from the technician before the session. Please check the questions throughout the session and ask the best ones to the speakers during the Q&A portion after each talk.
- PLEASE NOTE:
- If a speaker fails to attend the session, please excuse them to the audience and move to the next speaker.
- If the session ends early, please solicit questions from the audience and lead a discussion where possible.
To End the Session
- At the end of the session, kindly thank the presenters, and the onsite and online audiences for their participation.
